Octopus v1.1 will not connect

after about 20hrs. of on and off printing, powered my printer back up, and the display was blank and no backlight. looked into further and could not connect to Octo board over usb from Pi/Klipper. have changed and checked SD card, firmware, reloaded octopi, bootloader, unplugged everything from the board and am at a loss. any help would be appreciated
