H2V2S Grinding Sound & Underextrusion

Recommended Posts

I have an H2V2S - worked flawlessly for 8 hours of printing.

Then I started to hear a grinding sound - and noticed under extrusion in some layers.

I identified the sound and rebuilt the gearbox - which helped for 1 more print.

Now, I seem to have to disassemble, align, and rebuild the gearbox every print. All screws are tightened correctly.

I need assistance or I need an exchange. This experience went from excellent to horrible within 8 hours of printing.

I think i figured it out. The gears pushing the filament were not aligned with the filament hole and it caused the filament to be chewed up and probably offer great resistance. It was also probably pushing the gear to one side and thus the grinding noises you could hear on extrusion. In order to align the gears properly I had to move the gear that was attached to the driving shaft and I had to grind the lever that was pushing the driven gear. See image below.

I have just stared to print and lets see did this help.
