Raspberry Pad 5 - No USB

Final got a CM4 ( 2GB Lite version - no eMMC) for my Pad 5. Install and after nmessing about I got teh display to work ( could never get the HDMI port to properly work) .

 

Now I cannot get the USB ports to work. I have enabled them with the overlay line in config.txt to no avail. Not sure what to do with the line "otg_mode=1" that is in the Bullseye config file by default. All the manual seems directed at the eMMC version - I am booting from SD card on a lite version.  Anyone have a working config.txt file or provide some guidance on getting USB to work. Does it matter if I am powering the Pad 5 through the USB C port or ?

I am having the same issue.  I had this working at one time but needed to reload PiOS and now the USB will not work with the line in config.txt
