Hello, I have a problem with FLASHING firmware on the motherboard - Octopus pro F429.

  • SD card is using FAT32 formating
  • firmware is correctly named (downloaded from BIGTREETECH git)
  • status led is not "blinking" when sd card is inserted
  • STM32CubeProgrammer works fine - I am able to connect to motherboard and download bootloader from BTT Git
  • I tried flash motherboard via Raspberry pi with following error:

     dfu-util: Could not read name, sscanf returned 0
     Failed to flash to 0483:df11: Error running dfu-util

Thanks for any advice.

Hello.

I am also a newbie.
I have a different controller board however I can say that in my case it helped to use a 1GB card.

To perform programming from the RPi, you need to identify the communication port. In my case it looks like this:

$ ls /dev/serial/by-id/*
/dev/serial/by-id/usb-1a86_USB_Serial-if00-port0  /dev/serial/by-id/usb-Klipper_stm32h723xx_140016001551303531313638-if00

Read the section "Building and flashing a microcontroller". 😉
