EBB42 board burns out when 24v applied

Hey

Got the EBB42 flashed and working via usb, and via 12vdc bench supply but when I hook to the 24VDC power from the printer smoke comes from the bottom of the board and the main cap on the board gets very hot. Jumper and usb lead are out when power applied.

Please help. Im stumped and want it to work.
