SKR 2, Ender 5, using marlin sample config for ender 5 V427, only getting the marlin bootscreen,

SKR 2 RevB STM32F4, 2208's, 24V stock Ender 5 display, loaded the marlin 2093 config sample for the Ender 5 V427 with only the bd changed and the processor in the platforomio.ini file. Also tried the ender 5 V1 with the same settings changed plus changed the serial port to -1, same result. The ender 5 display just shows the marlin bootscreen after displaying the Creality ENDER bootscreen.
