Loading flexible filaments

Hi,

I just got the Smart Sensor and I'm pondering the use with flexible TPU filaments. It's very  hard, if not impossible, to get the filament through the sensor.

Any ideas on how to do this?

I'll probably engineer a new back plate (need one for mounting anyway) and include some kind of knob or slider that compress the internal spring. Something for you to consider for a future product version maybe.

Please check if the diameter for the TPU more than 1.75mm

It's 1.75mm. Even with stiff PLA it's somewhat hard to overcome the spring and insert the filament between the rollers, flexible TPU just folds up.

It functions no different compared to without my addition; it's only the insertion of the filament that is a bit easier.
