How to perform tensile testing of materials required for 3D printers? What equipment and standards are needed?

I know to perform tensile tests to assess the strength and toughness of materials. Standardized test methods can be used to compare different batches of material. A tensile tester is used to apply a controlled tension and measure the deformation of the sample. Tensile testing machine should have sufficient accuracy and reliability.
Sample preparation equipment, such as laser cutting machines or other cutting equipment, is used to prepare tensile samples that meet the requirements of standard dimensions. What about the different materials required for 3D printers?
