HI, I just got the BTT Octopus v1.1 and the jumper is set to USB, Windows Device Manger sees it as a host controller, but does not load driver for a COM Port to be assigned. I looked in BTT OCtopus 1.1 user guide (https://c-3d.niceshops.com/upload/file/BIGTREETECH_Octopus_EN.pdf) and it says to go here (https://github.com/bigtreetech?tab=repositories) to download the driver to install. There is no driver to be found there. In the Marlin Source it has the bootloader and STMCUBEProgrammer, but The programmer can not program it because it does not have a port to connect to? Thanks, Jason

Hi There I got the CB1+M5P combo and I wanted to use the GPIO Pins to turn other stuff on (LED), or control the fan speed but there is absolutely no signal on the exposed 40 GPIO pins. I can hack something if I choose a pin on the board that is used for something else, like the BLTOUCH pin: PC13 but there seems no way to activate the exposed GPIO pins. Do I have to activate some switch? I don't understand what those 40 exposed GPIO pins are for if they have no use? How would I get this to work as expected?

When my Ender 3 was on the stock motherboard, I went through two BLTouch sensors. In both cases, we had the same result: sometimes, when homing with the sensor, the printer would jam the gantry down into the bed because it would miss the sensor. When leveling, it would intermittently stop before it had completed all the steps. Alas, since I have a glass bed I cannot use the Z axis limit switch for homing (without mechanical modification, anyways.) I installed aBigTreeTech SKR mini e3 motherboard. Motion control works fine. In fact, it's much much quiter. Sadly, still lousy results (although I've only tried one sensor on this one.) Z Limit…

Can someone help with a WORKING Config.h file for this combo? I tried compiling my own, and keep getting no printer attached message. Had existing pre-compiled firmware off btt github, working fine with bl touch. Now I want to add btt smart sensor. If I can start with a working setup, I can work my way through the changes one at a time. I think I am messing up om the serial ports, baud rate etc.

Good Afternoon. I'm looking to buy the SKR Mini E3 V3.0 plus BTT TFT35-E3 V3.0 Display for my Ender 5 Plus. I need to know if the firmware for Ender 5, contained the github bigtreetech official page (see screenshot enclosed) is valid also for Ender 5 Plus. Moreover, there are 2 different file for BLtouch. One of these is called "bltouch for z-homing". Could you explain me what it means? Thank you

I just installed a M5P with a CB1 in my Anycubic predator. Everything works as it should except for the probe. It will perform a Probe Calibrate and give a value in the config. However when I do a delta calibrate it wont stop the Z movement and crashes my extruder into the bed. I have my horizontal set at 150 and it blows past that and goes into the bed. I have my probe connected correctly on the PC15 pin, ground to ground and the power to 5v. I have tried everything I can find on the web to correct the issue, but with no luck. [probe] pin: !PC15 z_offset: 15 #the distance between nozzle and level switch speed: 5 [delta_calibrate] …

Hello, I have a manta E3EZ coming in the mail and I was planning on running standard marlin on it until I can learn more about clipper. This was on the page as something you can do, but I am not finding config files for this board to run Marlin anywhere. Do you just start with another board selected and go from there, or am I missing something. I am hoping that the answer is that I was wrongfully lead to believe by where own web page that this is not possible. Thanks in advanced for any help that can be sent my way.

Does anyone have the connection diagram for this combination? The plug labels don't match the connector labels on the motherboard.

I just install a SKR mini E3 V3 board. When it is powered up I get the red light for power. But I also get the red flashing light. Is this normal? Is this due to the fact that the board has a Malin Bugfix version install from the factory? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi There, Hopefully I'm posting this in the correct forum if not please let me know Back in Novemeber 2022, I purchased an SKR Pro v1.2 I finaly got around to setting it up but coming up against a couple of odd issues. It seems the Hotbed and Hotend2 MOSFETs are working opposite to what I require. I've tried to adjust the firmware to compensate for this but to no avail. It seems at startup the Hotbed and second Hotend start heading automatically then when I set a temperature the MOSFETs switch off which is very odd. I would like to hard reset the board and reload the bootloader to maybe reset the MOSFETs. I've researched the process and …

I am having problems getting the TMC5160 drivers to work on the BTT Octopus Max EZ. Whenever I define “spi_bus = spi4” in the Klipper config, the board crashes. In the log file you can see the message “b’Got EOF when reading from device’”. In the attached log is the first start with the config “spi_bus = spi4”. and the second start without the spi_bus config. If the spi_bus parameter is not present the board works normally. The drivers themselves work in a BTT SKR 3 EZ without problems. Can someone help me to find the error? Is this a configuration bug, a Klipper bug or a hardware bug? Thank you.

Does anyone Marlin work on a SKR-3 board with STM7H723 processor? If so, can you provide a link? The manufacturer claims to work, but avoids neatly answering.

Hey all, I recently purchased the SKR mini e3v3 board and it stated that it supports cr10 platform but I have a S5 and I am not having great luck finding precompiled firmware for the printer. I have never created a custom firmware config before and am curious about where to start.

I'm making a custom delta printer with an skr mini E3 V3 motherboard and a tft70 touchscreen. I'm currently trying to troubleshoot some random errors that mostly occur during long prints. The printer will either restart, showing the boot screen and everything, or will simply stop moving, but the touch screen will still be responsive. Attempting to switch to marlin mode during this error will just give me a blank screen and the only way to recover is to reset the printer. The reboot has only happened twice so far but the freeze happens anywhere from 13 minutes to 16 hours into a print. I'm not sure if these 2 scenarios are related or not. The printer will also freeze …

i am using and skr 1.4 turbo on a 24 volt psu with a BTT tft 35. i have a heated bed, and a MOSFET also 24 volts., the issue is that the bed heats extremely slow, then ill get a printer has been halted. i have checked for continuity from the MOSFET on both sides 24v nominal, at the terminal on the board 24v nominal. at this point im convinced i am missing something in my config files becuase it seesm like the bed is lacking for current(slow slow slow heating) has anyone else seen this issue? if so can a point in the right dorection? i have gon over the heated bed part of the config and am going through again to make surre i havent miss3ed something tha…

I am running a new SKR3 EZ on my CRS-10 Pro. I have rebuilt this printer to include dual direct drive all metal extruders using a holder of my own design with a loss of about 30mm along the x-axis it also has a BLTouch mounted and raring to go but alas no firmware that works. The previous board was an SKR2 and I managed to get my BLTOUCH operation in that firmware but when I move the same settings to the new firmware the actual z-homing does not work correctly. The Z-axis raises and then proceeds to lower. The problem is the sensing. The probe is extended and it meets the bed as you would expect but the board is not receiving the signal because the z-axis continues to mov…

Hi, I cannot be the only one, and even if I was how come there is no documentation on using the SKR Pico's laser connection and how to use it with Klipper. I bought it specifically to build/mod a printer for laser engraving/cutting only and I am absolutely stuck on this. Please advise and update the github repo with current information so we, your customers, can use the product to its fullest potential.

I'm installing a new CR touch and new SKR Mini E3V3 and the CR Touch will not activate. It does not light up when I turn the machine on.. When I autohome, the printhead moves to the endstop and stops, then moves down a little. It does not go to center, and the bed does not move. A red light blinks in near the center of the board. What should I do?

Hi All. I'm new here and just received my new Octopus V1.1 motherboard, I'm excited to get going but I was a bit surprised that there were no connectors included, othere than the USB cable for the Pi. Can anyone advise what I will need? Maybe a kit of some sort? I will me using this with Klipper to control a RatRig v-core 3d printer and I will need a range of connectors (motors, fans, limit switches, sensors, etc) and crimp tools to complete the wiring. Maybe some ribbon cables too., What's a good source in the US? Recommendations appreciated.

The Manta M8P uses a surface mount fuse in a holder, and support doesn't know the specifications for it. Do 1808 fuses work there? Has anyone else had to replace a fuse yet?

I ordered a BIGTREETECH SKR Mini E3 V2.0 to replace the board in my ender 3v2. I use a linux computer to control it. I flashed useing the settings https://github.com/Klipper3d/klipper/blob/master/config/generic-bigtreetech-skr-mini-e3-v2.0.cfg tried both enabling and disabling the disable SWD option. The bin file changed to cur each time, so I think it installed properly. ls /dev/serial/by-id/ returns usb-LeafLabs_Maple-if00 So I set in printer config file [mcu] serial: /dev/serial/by-id/usb-LeafLabs_Maple-if00 trying to load it in mainsail get " Printer is not ready. The klippy host software is attempting to connect. Please retry in a few moments." e…
